சிங்கத்தின் பாசம்
1969 -ம் ஆண்டு ஜான், போர்க் இருவரும் சிறிய கூண்டுக்குள் அடைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த சிங்க குட்டியை வீட்டிற்கு வாங்கி வந்தனர். கிறிஸ்டியன் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்ட அந்த சிங்கம் பாசம், விளையாட்டுகளுடன் பெரிதாக வளர்ந்தது. சிங்கம் காட்டில் இருப்பதே அதற்கு சுதந்திரமான வாழ்க்கை முறையை தர முடியும் என்று உணர்ந்த அவர்கள் 1971 -ம் ஆண்டு சிங்கத்தை தென் ஆப்பிரிக்க காடுகளில் சென்று விட்டனர். ஒன்பது மாதங்கள் சென்ற பின்பு அந்த சிங்கத்தை அவர்கள் மீண்டும் சந்திக்க காட்டிற்கு சென்றனர். அப்போதுதான் அற்புதம் நிகழ்ந்தது. முதலில் தயங்கி நின்ற அந்த சிங்கம் தன்னை வளர்த்தவர்களை அடையாளம் கண்ட பின்பு தாவி கட்டி கொண்டது. உன்னதமான காட்சி. அதன் கொஞ்சலை பாருங்கள். அன்பு உங்களையும் ஆட்கொண்டு விடும்

தண்டவாளத்தில் படுத்தும் உயிர் தப்பிய பெண்மணி
இஸ்ரேலை சேர்ந்த 56 வயது பெண்மணி, தான் வேலை பார்த்து வந்த டிராவல் ஏஜென்சியில் இருந்து பணி நீக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டதால் தற்கொலை முடிவை எடுத்து உள்ளார். அவர் ரயில் வரும் நேரம் பார்த்து தண்டவாளத்தில் படுக்கிறார். மிகவும் அதிர்ஷ்டகரமான(?) , வியப்பான விஷயம் ரயில் கடந்ததும் எழுந்து சென்று விட்டார். போலீஸார் அவரை கைது செய்து விட்டனர். மரணத்தின் வாயில் கதவை தட்டி விட்டு திரும்புவது இதுதானோ?

உண்மை சம்பவம் : எருமைகளை கண்டு ஓடிய சிங்கங்கள்
பள்ளி வாழ்க்கையில் "ஒன்று பட்டால் உண்டு வாழ்வு" என்று மாடுகள் + சிங்கங்கள் கதை எல்லோரும் படித்து இருப்போம்.
ஐந்து மாடுகள் ஒற்றுமையாக வசித்து வந்தன. சிங்கம் அவற்றை வேட்டையாட வந்த போது ஒன்று சேந்து சிங்கத்தை விரட்டின. பின்பு மாடுகள் தங்களுக்குள் சண்டையிட்டு பிரிந்து விட்டன. பின்பு எளிதாக அந்த சிங்கம் ஒவ்வொரு மாட்டையும் எளிதாக வேட்டையாடி அளித்தது . இதுதான் அந்த கதை சுருக்கம்.
